Mr. & Mrs. Hess - Fall Wedding at The Lake House at Lake Carolina
Whenever I sit down for the first time with a potential bride and groom, I always ask them how they met and started dating. I've heard lots of these stories, but I think Samuel and Jessie take the cake. Over a school break, a group of friends, including the two of them, went on a cruise. They made it to one of their destinations and the group decided to explore the country. They thought to themselves, "what better way to explore this new place than on a moped?" So Samuel and Jessie hopped on a moped and took off...and then they had a crash. Thankfully no one got severely injured during the accident, but I guess you could say that they crashed into love.
When I arrived to the Little house to start photographing the day, Mr. Little welcomed me while cooking breakfast for all the ladies. Sometimes, there's a lot of stress that comes with getting ready for the wedding, and this particular morning, there was none of that. Everyone was in good spirits, and they were all ready to watch their two friends tie the knot. The groom and his men watched College GameDay; the ladies curled their hair while eating fruit and biscuits.
Before all the festivities began, Samuel and Jessie decided to have a first look. If you're unfamiliar with what a first look is, it's when the bride and groom privately see each other before the ceremony. First looks are very intimate and a time where the bride and groom can just enjoy being together before the ceremony and reception.
Samuel and Jessie had a very sweet and simple ceremony in the church that Jessie attended while growing up, and then their brunch reception was held at The Lake House at Lake Carolina. Their wedding was so unique to them and who they are. Samuel and Jessie ate their first brunch together as Mr. & Mrs. on a private dock. Instead of cake, they served Rita's Italian Ice and Oreo Ice Cream sandwiches. The day was full of games, dancing, including Jessie dancing with her grandpa *insert literal tears*, and bubble/streamer exit. Their wedding was beautiful, and I'm so honored that I get to be the one who shares it with y'all!
Samuel & Jessie, may marriage be y'all's greatest adventure! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your day, hopefully you'll treasure these moments for a lifetime.
P.S. Special thanks to my second shooter, Carly. I appreciate you and your mad skills.
