Winter Bridal Portraits - Sarah Cutter

Just recently, I was asked what I wanted to see more of in 2018. My immediate response: veils. GIVE ME ALL THE VEILS.

For several years now, 6 friends (Kyle & Sam, Cole & myself, Garrett & Sarah) have made a trip to Western North Carolina between Christmas and New Years. Last year, Garrett planned to surprise Sarah by proposing during one of our day hikes on Black Balsam Knob. The proposal was a success, and they planned to have a winter wedding this year!

When Sarah asked me to photograph their engagement pictures, I knew I wanted their session to be extra special. In order to really capture who they are, I planned for us to do some extra exploring during their session. And man, while I was editing their session, my heart was overcome with joy and love.

I squealed when Sarah sent me the picture of her in her wedding dress. The dress is beautiful, the veil is elegant, the lace sleeves are classy, and it fits her and her personality perfectly. Now, it only took us three times to get to the final product (no thanks to the weather), but I'm so thankful that we rescheduled each time because the third time was a charm. The temperature was great, and the late fall/early winter lighting was perfect!

Last Saturday, I got to stand by Sarah's side and watch her and Garrett become one. It was such an honor to share that momentous day with them. The middle school sweethearts are now hitched, which means I get to share her bridal portraits with y'all!

OHMYGOSH that veil *insert heart eyes*

"Sarah, how do you feel about getting married?" Gosh, I love her!

Special thanks to David's Bridal for designing Sarah's stunning dress and Trader Joe's for the homemade florals.
