Lexington Family Session - The Kelly Family
This year was shaping up to be a great one, and, don’t get me wrong, it’s still been good - it’s just been different. I had some wedding bookings in January, a wedding in February (which will be on the blog soon!), and then nothing. In my 3 years of being an official business, I had never had a month where I didn’t have any income…but March was it. The world halted, and my work halted. I didn’t have any work for about 10 weeks. It was hard and a bit stressful, but it was a great reminder that I’m not in control. Thankfully though, this family session ended my ten-week dry spell, and I did some socially distant portraits. I even brought Cole along to help get Jo to smile, and it was the best.
I’ve known the Kelly family for years; I’ve watched their kiddos grow up! A few years ago, they purchased their dream property and began to build their dream home and life. We started their session by taking a walk in their woods and then ended up on the front porch.

It felt so great to be shooting again. Two and a half months off was way too long.
One thing that I really appreciate about Jeremy and Cass is that they’re genuine. They don’t pretend to have it all together. They’re real. They share the things they’ve learned and the things they want to keep working on. Every time I leave their home, I’ve had a great meal and leave feeling refreshed. I appreciate their friendship and wish only the best for them and their kids.
