Winthrop Senior Session - Julie K. Hansard
It’s an interesting time we’re living in. I think I’m starting to go stir-crazy, and I’m really missing all of my spring seniors who have been patiently waiting for their sessions. Since I haven’t had any senior sessions this spring, here’s one of my favorite sessions from this past fall. Julie graduated from Winthrop University in December, but before she received her diploma, she had to give her senior thesis. Her senior thesis looked very different than most college grads; Julie’s thesis was a gallery show.
You’d never guess that it was 38 degrees when we took these photos.
I had been to Rock Hill before, but I had never really walked around Winthrop’s campus. It is beautiful, especially in the fall. Julie is also a great tour guide with a wealth of knowledge.
I enjoyed walking around the campus and spending time with Julie, but what I enjoyed the most was getting to be one of the the first people to see her show, “The Endangered Project.” She shared every piece with me and I’m still blown away by Julie’s talent and passion.
She’s the queen.
Julie, thanks for sharing your heart with me and the rest of the world in the best way you know how, with your artwork.
